Terms of Service

Last updated 22 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form the agreement between you and Liftzor, a logistics marketplace operating nationwide across Nigeria. By creating an account, posting a shipment, accepting a load, or otherwise using the Liftzor apps and website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. What Liftzor is

Liftzor connects shippers who need cargo moved with verified carriers and drivers who move it. Liftzor is a technology platform and marketplace. We are not the carrier of record and we do not own the vehicles that perform deliveries unless explicitly stated. The transport contract for any given shipment is between the shipper and the carrier who accepts it.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Nigerian law.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account.
  • Keep your login credentials and one-time codes confidential. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Carrier & driver verification

Carriers and drivers are subject to onboarding checks, document review and vehicle inspection before they can carry loads. Liftzor may approve, suspend, block or reinstate a carrier, driver or vehicle at its discretion to protect the integrity of the marketplace. Verification reduces risk but does not constitute a guarantee of any outcome on a specific shipment.

4. Bookings, escrow & payment

Shippers pay the single all-in price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment partner (Paystack) and held in escrow. Funds are released to the carrier according to the agreed milestones for the shipment, such as pickup, in-transit and confirmed delivery. Liftzor charges a service fee, which is already included in the all-in price shown to the shipper. You authorise Liftzor and its payment partner to process the amounts due for the bookings you confirm.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Liftzor to move goods that are illegal, unsafe, improperly declared or prohibited by law or by a carrier's stated limits. You agree not to circumvent the platform to avoid fees, to misrepresent cargo, to harass other users, or to interfere with the operation of the apps. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

6. Disputes between users

Where a dispute arises over a shipment (for example, a delivery, damage or service complaint), either party may raise it through the in-app dispute flow. Liftzor may review evidence such as proof of delivery, photos and tracking records, and may pause an escrow release while a dispute is being resolved. Our decision on the release of escrowed funds is made in good faith based on the available evidence.

7. Liability

Liftzor provides the platform on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liftzor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the acts or omissions of shippers, carriers or drivers. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

8. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published here is always the current one, and continued use of Liftzor after a change means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Liftzor collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our apps and website. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details— your name, phone number, email and the role you sign up as (shipper, carrier or driver).
  • Verification data— identity documents, vehicle details and inspection records for carriers and drivers.
  • Shipment data— pickup and drop-off locations, cargo descriptions, photos, proof of delivery and live tracking location while a job is active.
  • Payment data— processed by our payment partner. We store transaction records, but we do not store full card details on our own systems.
  • Device & usage data— app and device information used to keep the service secure and working.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to operate the marketplace: to match shipments with carriers, to enable live tracking and delivery confirmation, to process escrow payments, to verify carriers and drivers, to send transactional notifications by push, SMS, email and WhatsApp, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to provide support. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we share your information

To complete a delivery, relevant details are shared between the shipper, the carrier and the assigned driver, such as contact phone numbers, pickup and drop-off addresses and live location during the job. We also share data with trusted service providers who help us run the platform (for example payment processing, maps, messaging and cloud hosting), and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data retention & security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. We apply technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to certain processing, subject to legal limits. You can manage notification preferences in the app. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@liftzor.io.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The version published here is always the current one. Material changes will be communicated through the apps or by other reasonable means.

Refund Policy

Last updated 22 June 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how shippers can claim refunds on shipment payments. Because Liftzor holds funds in escrow until delivery milestones are met, your money is protected throughout the journey.

1. Cancellations before pickup

If you cancel a shipment before a carrier has been dispatched or collection has begun, the amount held in escrow is refunded to you. Where a carrier has already incurred costs in mobilising for the job, a fair portion may be retained to cover that effort; the applicable amount is shown before you confirm a cancellation.

2. Failed or undelivered shipments

If a carrier fails to collect or deliver your cargo, the escrowed funds are not released to the carrier and are returned to you. You can raise this through the in-app dispute flow, and our team will review tracking and proof-of-delivery records before resolving the release.

3. Disputed deliveries

Where there is a disagreement over whether a delivery was completed correctly, escrow release is paused while the dispute is reviewed. Refunds, partial refunds or release to the carrier are determined in good faith based on the available evidence, such as photos, signed proof of delivery and location records.

4. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method via our payment partner. The time for the funds to reflect depends on your bank or payment provider. Liftzor's service fee, where charged, is handled in line with the cancellation and dispute rules above.

5. How to request a refund

Start a refund or dispute from the relevant shipment inside the Liftzor Shipper app, or contact us at hello@liftzor.io with your shipment reference. We aim to respond promptly and resolve every claim fairly.
